Shuzhen Liu, Ph.D.

Shuzhen earned her Ph.D. in Rostock University/FBN, Germany, where she studied the role of NF-kB and C/EBP factors in pathogen-mediated activation of bovine interleukin 8 and beta-defensin. Her postdoctoral training at UT Southwestern focused on the molecular mechanism of TNF induced necroptosis. In the Reinecker lab, Shuzhen's research focuses on defining the role of novel immune regulators in mucosal inflammation and host defense. She loves cooking, music and enjoys time with family and friends.
Shuyuan Chen, M.D., M.S.
Research Scientist
Shuyuan is a cell biologist with a focus on gene-editing techniques, nucleic acid detection and nextgen sequencing technologies. He enjoys cooking, fishing, and hiking.
Sharon Amole

Sharon has a B.S. in Biochemistry and Biology. She is a former UT Southwestern Green Fellow. Her primary interest is in disease research. In her free time, she enjoys home renovation projects and training her shepherds.
