Fat Imaging
We use analogues of glucose and fatty acids in conjunction with PET, SPECT, and MRI imaging of normal and genetically engineered rodent models to define how environmental, nutritional, and hormonal factors regulate fat metabolism. Shown below is a PET/CT imaging example of change in brown fat uptake of a glucose analogue when a mouse is exposed to cold temperatures.
