Our goal is to predictably engineer the microbiota to treat intestinal diseases using a pipeline based on next-generation sequencing of patient-derived samples coupled with bacterial genetics

Dr. Ni graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned her medical degree at Northwestern University. She completed a residency in internal medicine at New York University, where she served as a chief resident. She received advanced training in gastroenterology through a T-32 funded fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

She then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied the role of urease in Crohn’s disease-related dysbiosis in the lab of Dr. Gary Wu.
