Accelerated rTMS for Substance Use Disorder and Depression
This study is a small open-label feasibility trial of an accelerated course of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for indviduals with depression and stimulant use disorder (including methamphetamine or cocaine use disorder (MtUD/CUD)
An Open-Label Tirzepatide Trial for Comorbid Obesity and Stimulant Use Disorder
This open label pilot study will assess the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of tirzepatide which will be prescribed under its FDA approved weight management indication in adults with moderate or severe methamphetamine, cocaine or prescription stimulant use disorder who also meet criteria for obesity or overweight with comorbidities.
The study also incorporates MRI to explore neural biomarkers associated with treatment response. All participants will also receive contingency management (CM) combined with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Together, these pharmacologic, neuroimaging and behavioral components will evaluate tirzepatide's potential to improve health and substance use outcomes in individuals with comorbid moderate or severe methamphetamine, cocaine or prescription stimulant use disorder.
Tirzepatide for Methamphetamine Use Disorder
This study is a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial to evaluate the tolerability, safety, and preliminary efficacy of tirzepatide for the treatment of individuals with moderate or severe methamphetamine use disorder.
