Spinal cord injury, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and stroke can lead to severe mobility issues, affecting autonomy and quality of life. Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) can bypass an injury and translate a person’s intentions to move from their brain activity to the control of an external device, such as a smartphone. At this community event, we want to explain what BCIs are, what they can do, and who they could benefit.
